Sublime Radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening is a non-invasive treatment used to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It works by delivering RF energy to the deeper layers of the skin, heating the collagen fibres and causing them to contract, which in turn stimulates the production of new collagen over time. Sublime is a non-ablative treatment, meaning it doesn’t penetrate the skin like other skin contouring treatments do, so most patients experience little to no side effects or downtime. Some reddening of the skin is normal, but other than smoother, tighter looking skin, there should be no other side effects.
For some clients, several sessions spaced three to four weeks apart are necessary to achieve the results they want. Unlike other skin contouring treatments that use painful instruments and involve downtime to recovery, Sublime is entirely non-surgical and painless. Sublime RF causes thermal trauma to the skin using RF technology where as micro needling causes mechanical trauma. The RF energy is used to generate heat/warmth in the dermis where new collagen and elastin is formed. This heat/warmth forces the cells to produce new collagen and elastin.
Skin Needling creates a mechanical micro trauma to the skins epidermis and dermis triggering a natural process in the skin which is controlled wound healing. We are asking the skin to release epidermal growth factors for repair, then the skin lays down new collagen and elastin fibres to strengthen the skin and finally new collagen and elastin mature into structural and supportive collagen resulting in firmer and more youthful skin.
